Nina provides assessments and evaluations for children and specializes in early intervention and mental health. ​Nina works with children, families, teachers, and specialists to create an individualized consultation focused on eliminating behavioral challenges and promoting optimal development. Nina holds the belief that dyadic intervention is essential for young children and their parents. She integrates various methodologies that fit each child individually and incorporates their social emotional needs with the developmental trajectories. She is passionate about accessibility and equitability for families and aims to work with addressing the concerns families face from a point of empathy and understanding.
Nina collaborates with with various practitioners in the child's life, including physical and occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, and developmental pediatricians.

Education & Professional Training:
Nina has over a decade of experience as an early childhood mental health specialist and early interventionist. Prior to her current role, Nina worked at Rady Children's Hospital Developmental Screening and Enhancement Program, providing assessments and interventions to children in San Diego County under 6 years old. Nina has worked as a therapeutic shadow, early interventionist, and parent educator in multiple capacities focusing on mental health, behaviors, and child development.
Nina earned her BA in Psychology and Child Development at Northeastern University (previously Mills College) and obtained her Masters in Infant Mental Health as well. During her MA program, she interned at the Infant Parent Program through UCSF where she underwent Intensive Practice-Based Training in Multicultural Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health.

Nina continued on to pursue her Master of Social work degree at UCLA where she focused on child welfare and access to resources for vulnerable families. Nina has expanded her practice clinically and is currently working as an associate clinical social worker.
Nina's extensive work in the area of early intervention for at risk children and families has enabled her to build a successful practice with an expertise in aiding the treatment planning and intervention for children with various challenges.
